1 Адам, Сиф, Енос, Каинан, Малелеиль, Иаред, Енох, Мафусал, Ламех, Ной.

4 Сыновьями Ноя были: Сим, Хам и Иафет.

5 Сыновьями Иафета были: Гомер, Магог, Мадай, Иаван, Фувал, Мешех и Фирас.

6 Сыновьями Гомера были: Аскеназ, Рифат и Фогарма.

7 Сыновьями Иавана были: Елиса, Фарсис, Киттим и Роданим.

8 Сыновьями Хама были: Куш, Мицраим, Фут и Ханаан.

9 Сыновьями Куша были: Сева, Хавила, Савта, Раама и Савтеха. Сыновьями Раамы были: Шева и Дедан.

10 У Куша был также сын по имени Нимрод, который был самым могучим воином на земле.

11 От Мицраима произошли народы Лудим, Анамим, Легавим, Нафтухим,

12 Патрусим, Каслухим и Кафторим, от которого произошли филистимляне.

13 Ханаан был отцом Сидона, своего первенца, а также Хета,

20 У Иоктана родились сыновья Алмодад, Шалеф, Хацармавеф, Иерах,

23 Офир, Хавила и Иовав. Все они были сыновьями Иоктана.

24 Сим, Арфаксад, Сала,

25 Евер, Фалек, Рагав,

26 Серух, Нахор, Тера

27 и Аврам. (Аврама также называли Авраам).

28 Сыновьями Авраама были: Исаак и Измаил.

39 Сыновьями Лотана были: Хори и Гомам. У Лотана была сестра по имени Фимна.

40 Сыновьями Шовала были: Алеан, Манахаф, Гевал, Шефо и Онам. Сыновьями Цивеона были: Айя и Ана.

41 Сыном Аны был Дишон. Сыновьями Дишона были: Хемдан, Ешбан, Ифран и Керан.

42 Сыновьями Ецера были: Билган, Зааван и Акан. Сыновьями Дишана были: Уц и Аран.

43 В Едоме цари появились намного раньше, чем в Израиле. Вот имена царей Едома: первым царём был Бела, сын Веора. Город Белы назывался Дингава.

44 Когда Бела умер, новым царём стал Иовав, сын Зара. Иовав пришёл из Восоры.

45 Когда Иовав умер, новым царём стал Хушам, выходец из земли феманитян.

48 Когда Самла умер, новым царём стал Саул из Реховофа, который располагался на реке Евфрат.

50 Когда Ваал-Ханан умер, новым царём стал Гадад из города Пау. Жену Гадара звали Мегетавеель. Она была дочерью Матреды. Матреда была дочерью Мезагава.

51 Затем Гадад умер. Вождями Едома были: Фимна, Алва, Иетеф,

52 Оливема, Елах, Пинон,

6 And the sons of Gomer: Ashchenaz, Diphar, and Togarmah.

7 And the sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Doranim.

8 The sons of Ham: Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

9 And the sons of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabta, Raamah, and Sabachtha. And the sons of Raamah: Sheba and Daran.

10 And Cush begat Nimrod; and he began to be a mighty man in the earth.

11 And Mizraim begat Ludim, Jaabim, Lehabim, Naphtuhim,

12 Pathrusim, and Casluhim (of whom came the Philistines and Capedocians).

13 And Canaan begat Zidon his first-born and Heth and

14 The Jesubites and the Amorites and the Girgasites

15 And the Hivites and the Arkites and the Sinites

16 And the Arvadites and the Zemarites and the Hamathites.

17 The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arphahshar, Lud, Aram, Uz, Hul, Gather, and Meshech.

18 And Arphahshar begat Shelah, and Shelah begat Eber.

19 And to Eber were born two sons; the name of the one was Peleg, because in his days the earth was divided, and his brother's name was Joktan.

20 And Joktan begat Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmoth, and Jerah,

21 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,

22 Ebal, Abimael, Sheba,

23 Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.

24 Shem, Arphahshar, Shelah,

25 Eber, Peleg, Reu,

26 Serug. Nahor, and Terah;

27 Abram; the same is Abraham.

28 The sons of Abraham: Isaac and Ishmael.

29 These are their generations: The first-born of Ishmael, Nebaioth; then Kadar. Arbal, and Mibsam.

30 Mishma, Romah, Massa, Hadad, Temna.

31 Nator. Naphish, and Kedemah. These are the sons of Ishmael.

32 The sons of Kenturah, Abraham's concubine: she bore Zimran, Jokshan, Maran, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah. And the sons of Jokshan: Sheba and Daran.

33 And the sons of Midian: Ephah, Epher, Henoch, Abida, and Eldaah. All these were the sons of Kenturah.

34 And Abraham begat Isaac. The sons of Isaac: Esau and Israel.

35 The sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Reuel, Jeush, Elam, and Korah.

36 The sons of Eliphaz: Teman, Omar, Zoph, Gatham, Kenaz, Timna, and Amalek.

37 The sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.

38 And the sons of Seir: Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah, Doshan, Ezar, and Dishan.

39 And the sons of Lotan: Horar and Homam; and Timna was Lotan's sister.

40 The sons of Shobal: Anon, Manahath, Ebal, Shaphar, and Onam. And the sons of Zibeon: Ana, and Annah.

41 The son of Annah: Dishon. And the sons of Dishon: Hamran, Ashkan, Ithran, and Cheran.

42 The sons of Ezer: Calhan, Zimran, and Jakan. The sons of Dishon: Uz, and Aram.

43 Now these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before any king reigned over the children of Israel: Bela the son of Beor, and the name of his city was Dihab.

44 And when Bela died, Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.

45 And after him Husham of the land of Teman reigned in his stead.

46 And when Husham died, Hadad the son of Bedad, who defeated the Edomites in the fields of Moab, reigned in his stead; and the name of his city was Gewith.

47 And when Hadad died, Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.

48 And when Samlah died, Shaul of Rehoboth by the river reigned in his stead.

49 And when Shaul died, Baal-hanan the son of Abcor reigned in his stead.

50 And when Baal-hanan died, Hedad reigned in his stead; and the name of his city was Pao; and his wife's name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.

51 Hadad died also. And the princes of Edom were prince Timnah, prince Anwa, prince Jetheth,

52 Prince Aholibamah, prince Elah, prince Pinon,

53 Prince Kenaz, prince Teman, prince Mibzar,

54 Prince Magdiel, prince Giram. These are the princes of Edom.
